As a chiropractic x-ray tech, your license expires each year on your birthday. You are required to take 6 hours of C.E. credit each year in order to renew your license.
Non-chiropractic x-ray techs have a 2-year license interval, and do not have a continuing education requirement, but are welcome to take the course!
If you’ve taken the 48-hour introductory class within the past 12 months, and you’ve had a birthday after you received your initial license, you need to take 6 hours of CE before your next birthday.
If you’re just not sure, contact the Chiropractic Quality Assurance Commission (CQAC) — see the info in the sidebar at the right.
Beginning in 2024, everyone in a licensed healthcare profession will be required to take 2 hours of Health Equity training every four years as part of their required CE hours. We will have both 4-hour and 6-hour versions of our courses from 2023 onward, so you can pick the one that gives you the correct number of hours.
